Who am I?
Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart
Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours
Who Am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who Am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me
Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are
I am Yours
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
'Cause I am Yours
I am Yours
(Lyrics by Casting Crowns)
I often ask myself these questions... why doesn't God just give up on me? How come He loves me when I let Him down every day? I mean I can't even go through one day - or even one hour for that matter - without doing, saying or thinking something wrong!
I guess I need to remind myself of what Jesus said:
"It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." (Mark 2:17)

If I could live the Christian life perfectly I wouldn't need God, would I? But the fact is I can't do it on my own, I need His strength and help in every situation. And I need His forgiveness and mercy when I fall.
I'm glad that God's love isn't something I have to earn - it's a gift! This song kinda says all there is to say! He doesn't love me because of who I am or what I've done, He loves me because of who He is and what He's done!

Hi Katrín,
My wife Lydia and I just love this song from Casting Crowns. I bought this CD a while ago, and we always put the CD player on repeat if we listen to this wonderful song.
By the way: thank you for recommending my site!
Blessings
Paul
