The best anti-aging medicine!

Yep, I can tell you what the best anti-aging medicine is! And it doesn't have to cost a penny! Ready...? It is called.... exercising! By leading a fairly healthy lifestyle and exercising on a regular basis you keep your whole body younger! I bet you've heard it all before, but I wanted to tell you this, cause we always look for the easy way out... or should I say the lazy way out... anti aging lotions, slimming pills and patches... you name it! But I say get up and move your butt! It'll make you feel so much better :)
So that was my little note of "wisdom" for the day :oP
Oh, and wouldn't this make a great slogan for a fitness centre or a gym?:
Keep fit and stay young!

Still smiling :)

Here's another smily post! Have you ever thought about why we smile at someone that smiles at us? I don't know, but it sure makes the days brighter!

SMILING

Smiling is infectious,
you catch it like the flu.
When someone smiled at me today
I started smiling too.

I passed around the corner,
and someone saw my grin.
When he smiled I realized,
I'd passed it on to him.

I thought about that smile,
then I realized its worth.
A single smile just like mine,
could travel round the earth.

So, if you feel a smile begin,
don't leave it undetected.
Let's start an epidemic quick,
and get the world infected!
Ok.... ready?..... GO!

PS. It didn't say who wrote that fun little poem...

SMILE!

Smile! Life is great! No matter how I feel today I have SO many things to be greatful for... I take too many things for granted. I need to stop and think... and when I do a SMILE comes to my face. Have you ever thought about how much one smile can do for you AND for others?

A SMILE

It cost nothing, but creates much.

It enriches those who receive, without impoverishing those who give.

It happens in a flash and the memory of it lasts forever.

None are so rich they can get along without it and none so poor but are richer for its benefits.

It creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in a business, and is the countersign of friends.

It is rest to the weary, daylight to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and nature's best antidote for trouble.

Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is no earthly good to anybody till it is given away!

If someone is to tired to give you a smile, leave one of yours.

For, nobody needs a smile so much as those who have none to give.

Listen to some songs I've posted before!

I found this page with a few of the songs I've posted the lyrics to before... I wanted to give you guys a chance to listen to some of them! They're really great! Just take a short break from whatever you are doing and listen to the lyrics and the music :) It's good for you :) Just click on the links below.

Who am I?

Christmas Shoes
I know Christmas is over... but just listen to it anyway!

Spoken for
With a group called MercyMe. I think I posted this a long time ago...
Ok, that's it for now... I may find some more for you to listen to. And ofcourse you can just go to that webpage and pick songs you want to listen to! Here it is:

This is my prayer today...

Purify My Heart

Purify my heart
Touch me with Your cleansing fire
Take me to the cross;
Your Holiness is my desire.

Breathe Your life in me,
Kindle a love that flows from Your throne.
Oh, purify my heart.
Purify my heart.

(You can listen to the song on THIS page.)

And a few verses from the psalms... Psalm 51: 10-12

Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.

Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Just had to post this again...

When I say, "I am a Christian"
When I say, "I am a Christian,"
I'm not shouting "I am saved."
I'm whispering "I was lost";
That is why I chose this way.

When I say, "I am a Christian,"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble,
And need someone to be my guide.

When I say, "I am a Christian,"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak,
And pray for strength to carry on.

When I say, "I am a Christian,"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed,
And cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say, "I am a Christian,"
I'm not claiming to be perfect.
My flaws are too visible,
But God believes I'm worth it.

When I say, "I am a Christian,"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches,
Which is why I speak His name.

When I say, "I am a Christian,"
I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority;
I only know I'm loved.

Ever dreamt you were naked at school...?

I have never dreamt that I was naked at school, but I hear that is a common dream. BUT today I almost experienced it... meaning I was topless in class!!! The things you have to do in medical school! I tell ya!

We were learning how to take ECG (Electrocardiogram) on each other. I'm just glad that I was in an all girls group ;oP
The picture below should explain why we couldn't wear bras... we had to place the electrodes on the numbered spots.

Mercy Came Running

Once there was a holy place
Evidence of God's embrace
And I can almost see mercy's face
Pressed against the veil
Looking down with longing eyes
Mercy must have realized
That once His blood was sacrificed
Freedom would prevail
And as the sky grew dark
And the earth began to shake
With justice no longer in the way

Mercy came running
Like a prisoner set free
Past all my failures to the point of my need
When the sin that I carried
Was all I could see
And when I could not reach mercy
Mercy came running to me

Once there was a broken heart
Way too human from the start
And all the years left it torn apart
Hopeless and afraid
Walls I never meant to build
Left this prisoner unfulfilled
Freedom called but even still
It seemed so far away
I was bound by the chains
From the wages of my sin
Just when I felt like giving in
Sometimes I still feel so far
So far from where I really should be
He gently calls to my heart
Just to remind me

(Phillips, Craig and Dean)

Jesus did that for me on the cross and I am eternally greatful for that. I can't even go ONE day without His forgiveness. I may say something I shouldn't, get angry at someone for no reason, be rude just because I'm having a bad day... the list is long. I would have given up on me a long time ago... I just keep messing up again and again... in small and big things. And...
Sometimes I still feel so far
So far from where I really should be
He gently calls to my heart
Just to remind me

Mercy came running
Like a prisoner set free
Past all my failures to the point of my need
When the sin that I carried
Was all I could see
And when I could not reach mercy
Mercy came running to me

How awesome is that? And this is one promise I have in Jesus Christ:

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9

Can't Live A Day

I could live life alone
And never fill the longings of my heart
The healing warmth of someone's arms
And I could live without dreams
And never know the thrill of what could be
With every star so far and out of reach
I could live without many things
And I could carry on, but...

CHORUS:
I couldn't face my life tomorrow
Without Your hope in my heart I know
I can't live a day without You
Lord, there's no night and there's no morning
Without Your loving arms to hold me
You're the heartbeat of all I do
I can't live a day without You

I could travel the world
See all the wonders beautiful and new
They'd only make me think of You
And I could have all life offers
Riches that were far beyond compare
To grant my every wish without a care
Oh, I could do anything, oh yes
But if You weren't in it all...

CHORUS:
I couldn't face my life tomorrow
Without Your hope in my heart I know
I can't live a day without You
Lord, there's no night and there's no morning
Without Your loving arms to hold me
You're the heartbeat of all I do
I can't live a day without You

Jesus, I live because You live
You're like the air I breathe
Oh Jesus, oh, I have because You give
You're everything to me

(Avalon - CD:In A Different Light)

I just love these words because I've thought about it so many times. My life without God doesn't mean anything... I can't imagine my life without God!

Off into the year of 2006!

Wonder how this year will be... So far it's been good :oP It will be crazy busy some times, other times it'll be lazy and nice too.
"Will I go to Bergen, Norway next school year?" is my big question these days. I've been trying to figure it out for the last 2 months or so, and it looks like it may be a bit too complicated. We'll see. I think I'll apply anyway, and if it's too much of a hastle then I'll just not go. I want for it to be fun you know.
The first days of school have been very lazy... well, the teaching is on full speed, but my studying is set on S...L...O...W or no speed at all... haha. Oh, well! I'll just have to pick it up tomorrow or something.
Have a nice day!

Happy New Year!!!

It's 2006! How weird is that?! 2005 went by so fast!
I had a great new year's celebration with my mom's side of the family. We ate pork cotelets for dinner. Yummy!!! I only get that once a year and that's on new years!
A few of us went to one of the many big... or should I say HUGE fires in town. It's a tradition we have here... It's symbolic... You burn the old and get a fresh start. I think it's a cool tradition!
When we got back to our house it was time for desert, then later on we all went out to shoot up some firework. At around 12 o'clock everything went CRAZY! Fireworks everywhere!! It was sooo cool! I love watching fireworks.
After the crazyness we went back in to eat more cakes, cookies and candy. That's when it was time to play some games, wooohooo! We played trivial pursuit till 3 am.
So, I'm gonna make an album with picks from my Christmas break... cause I did a bunch! I'll let you know when they're up!
Anyways.... HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!! May God bless you in the year that just started!
