My first week inside the hospital is almost over. Can someone please tell me why I was so nervous about it?! It is such an exciting experience. Taking small steps every day, learning the simple things first... slowly learning the skills of the working doctor :) I love it! It is challenging but fun! I am sure some weeks will be harder than others, but I do think that I am up for this challenge. It's a good feeling. I've had a great start to this part of the studies. The team of doctors on the ward I've been at are just awesome. They do expect certain things of us and they ask questions, but at the same time they do it in such a way that we are always comfortable, even when the answer is not right. If we don't know something they just take us through it and explain. I've learned a whole lot this week!
Just thought I'd share that with you. Now you know how my first steps inside the hospital went.

Last shift at the labor ward...
The past night was my last shift at the labor ward. It was the busiest shift I've been on in a long time, but it was great. I got to assist in the deliveries of two baby girls!! Yea, I was extatic! Nothing beats the miracle of child birth ;) So I leave my job as an assistant at the labor ward with a smile on my face. It's been a privilege to work there!

Life without limbs!!!
This guy is just AMAZING! Nick was born without arms and legs, but that doesn't stop him from living life and enjoying it! This video is only 7 minutes long, so you have time to take a break and look at this. If you think life is hard, take a look at what this guy has to say and be encouraged!

Camp with 100 tenagers! So fun!
I had a wonderful weekend with about 100 teenagers in Vatnaskógur. It was the youth group's "fall-camp" or haustskólamót as we call it in Icelandic. God is doing some amazing things in these kids' lives and it was such a blessing to be a part of this weekend. Lots of singing, learning, sharing and hanging out in this BEAUTIFUL place! Here are just a few of the 200 pictures I took! God's creation is amazing :)
